Auckland, New Zealand![]() 180 million years ago New Zealand broke away from a giant landmass called Gondwana. Polynesians sailed here in the 13th century and named the country Aotearoa, “Land of the Long White Cloud”.

Bora Bora, French Polynesia![]() It is perfectly possible to spoil oneself in one of the incredibly luxurious high-class resorts and spend the savings of a lifetime in a few days. Nonetheless, a bit of planning ahead can allow enjoyment of the majestic scenery with a tighter budget. Keep in mind that in any case Bora Bora is a tremendously pricey destination. Everything (catering and activities) ranges from "expensive" to "indescribably expensive".

Bangkok, Thailand![]() One of the most traveller-friendly cities in Asia. Despite the sensationalised international news reports and first impressions, the city is surprisingly safe (except from some petty crimes) and more organised than it initially appears, and full of hidden gems waiting to be discovered. The high relative humidity and warm temperature favour the growth of tropical plants — you'll find exotic orchids and delicious fruit everywhere.

Torres del Paine, Patagonia![]() Is a National Park in Chile with a unique geography, its granite hills where studied by geologist decades ago and with it got a World wide fame. Climbers are today the ones who enjoy it special and difficult conditions.

Its central location in the country makes it a great base for visiting other areas, and it is possible to ski in the nearby Andes and later be on the beach, all in the same day.

Copacabana, Bolivia![]() This is the original Copacabana -- actually lending its name to the beach in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. The name derives from the Aymara kota kawana, meaning "view of the lake", and the region was revered by the Inca even before the Spaniards built their chapel of the Virgin and turned it into a Catholic pilgrimage site.
