![]() The breeze of the sea, start to get in to the shore. The land breathes again. A light cold, start to surround me. The night has come. One more time. I love the ending of “Meet Joe Black”. When Anthony Hopkins says to Brad Pitt (Joe) “It’s hard to let go, isn’t it? And Joe answers “Yes Bill, it is” Ending with Hopkins line “Well, that’s life. What else can I tell you?” Life is about letting things go, it’s about moving on. It’s about making decisions that are good for us, but we can’t see sometimes, because of our attachment to people, things or times. I think we are here to improve our selves. We are here to evolve in a deeper transcendental path than just living life. And in order to do that, in order to evolve we have to make hard decisions, take some grounds that we don’t want most of the time. Because it makes us afraid, it makes us think we can’t do it. Because we are so attached with someone, in my case, that we can’t let go that feeling. We become afraid. And afraidness is a vicious circle that pushes us deeper down every moment. A friend of mine was having a nightmare of a life in her marriage and she couldn’t let go because of the fear of what could happen to her and her little kids, if she left her husband. Every day she went deeper in that fear and the nightmare became to grow. The relationship started to be worst every day, and her kids suffered for it. Until she left the “afraid” behind, and as a responsible mature women, talked it out with her husband and started to separate and live their lives as they disserved! We are not here to suffer! We make our selves suffer. We have to see the good in things! Even in bad things!! Everything has good in it!! Even our biggest traumas! To overcome them we have to put them in our hearts, make them part of us. Take the good on them and move on! If your father was an alcoholic and loved to party and spend every dime in it! Well, put him in your heart! And take the good of it! He really knew how to enjoy life, how to celebrate life, so honor him celebrating yours! I’m working now on my own fear, and I know it’s not easy. I can read what I wrote and I can believe it! But doing it in my life takes a lot more time than what it takes me to read it. For sure! So, I exercise it everyday! I think about it. How to let go this person that I love? Should I persist? Maybe I can get her back. Well, love is not a one-way street. And that’s hard to accept. So I have to stop punishing me! And for guys like me, that don’t give up easily, being very persistent, even stubborn, it’s harder to draw the line that says, “Let Go!” Being afraid is a powerful feeling that poisons my personal evolution, my personal growth. Being afraid limits me. So, lets understand something. We can overcome everything that happens to us. It’s in my will to do it or not! Believe in your will to do better! Believe in you! Accept your fear! Don’t deny it. What ever you deny or exclude, grows stronger and bigger. After you accept your fear, see your inner will power to change things. Believe in your power to be the better you! Then take action. That’s the hardest part. That’s when you need COURAGE! Courage is what makes you take action! Courage is what made you overcome fear! It’s in this step when you start defining yourself. It’s not about being strong; it’s not about being or not being vulnerable, cause we all are! But it doesn’t mean we are weak! You can be what ever you want. Accept your vulnerability, put it in your heart. Take action. Evolve. Tonight, I am afraid. I’m afraid of loosing her. So, what to do? Well, just one thing. Don’t push yourself! In my case, I’m not ready. I still need her. She makes me a better guy, everyday, and I wish I could help her be a better woman, everyday. I think on how to improve my self because of her. She is, today, my voice of reason. So, be wise, don’t take action if you are not ready. This is not a race against anyone but you. Go at your own pace. The important thing here is to finish the journey, without getting lost! The breeze of the sea, start to get in to the shore. The land breathes again. A light cold, start to surround me. The night has come. One more time. Jose Ignacio Blavi Aros Editor Quest
