Auckland is a really cosmopolitan city. Is not the capital of New Zealand, but is the largest city in the country. Is divided in different suburbs but in most of them you’ll find lots of cultures living together. Asians, Indians, Argentines, Brazilians and British are on top of the list, letting Kiwis say they feel like a minority.
Is called also “City of Sails” because of the great conditions for doing such sport, but you’ll find it odd that is quite expensive and hard to find a company offering a it. But you’re going to see lots of motorboats that can take you around the harbor.
Maori people are the Natives in New Zealand and If you hear them saying to you something you don’t understand and it sounds like “Keeora” Its actually Kia Ora and it means Hello, so you have to respond the same with a strong voice, Kia ora! And with that you just met your new best friend. Or at least got a big smile from him/her.
